My Philosophy

My Art

For some artists, art involves a paintbrush and canvas. For me, as an artist, my art involves my camera and the subjects in front of it.

I take great pride in being able to tell a story by capturing subjects. It's the little things that matter: the look in the couples' eyes as they have a candid conversation; the wonderment of the baby as she plays with the autumn leaves; the camaraderie and happiness of a birthday toast. This is all enhanced by the distinct, aesthetic environments in which I like to capture my subjects.

After the photography process, photos move onto the editing phase. This is where I enhance what I have captured - where I make the colours seem softer and warmer and where I make the lighting as pure as it was in the moment it was captured. As such, I do not believe in altering or airbrushing my subjects. My camera captures the natural moments we experience in life and my artistry brings the stories to life. After all, the beauty of my photography is in the little details.
