When I got invited to take photos at Ronit's birthday party, my aim was to capture the key moments of fun that the kids were having...and then I found out that the parents who came along also became my favorite subjects, so it became quite an interesting shoot. And I thoroughly enjoyed it.
A Diwali Party
A few days ago we had the awesome experience of being invited to capture images at the Diwali party hosted by the Indian Sindhi community of Victoria. We had a photo-booth setup at the entrance as the guests started arriving, and after the entrée was served we packed it up and started taking candid shots. It was such a pleasure to capture such vibrant colors and Bollywood moves on the dance floor. Everyone had an absolute ball...and so did we.
Awards Night at Mill Park Soccer Club
There is nothing quite like an awards night at a soccer club that has just finished another successful season...it is a given that the night will get louder and louder with the music and dancing...and when you throw in the Greek tradition of smashing plates, it is quite a sight to behold, and time to hang on tight to your partner...I hung on to my camera and clicked away in a mad frenzy...'cos things got very slippery on the dance floor and the world around me started going in circles!!!

When Nadia and Cameron invited us to take photos at their engagement party...and gave us the brief that they wanted candid shots taken at their party which was going to be under a marquee in the beer garden at the Mount Macedon Hotel, we decided to improvise a little and start the shoot in a church...a kind of dress rehearsal for their big day!!!
When we joined them later and the party was in full swing, it was lovely to meet their friends and family who had come together to celebrate this special occasion.
